What the tool creates
The tool subtracts the entered margins from each page and updates its crop box. PDF points are used, where 72 points equal one inch.
The output is cropped.pdf. Cropping changes the visible page area but may not permanently delete objects outside the crop box.

- Removing scanner shadows
- Reducing wide white margins
- Preparing consistent visible page areas
Important limits
- The same margins are applied to every page, even if page sizes differ.
- Cropping can hide content without securely erasing it from the PDF.
- Large margins can produce invalid or extremely small visible pages.
