How to use PDF Page Size Checker

  1. Choose a PDF file.
  2. Select Inspect PDF.
  3. Review each page width, height and orientation.
  4. Use the values to plan printing or cropping.

What the tool creates

The checker reads every page media size and reports width and height in PDF points. It labels a page Landscape when width is greater than height, otherwise Portrait.

Results appear as one item per page. The tool does not modify or download the source PDF.

Important limits

  • Measurements are in points, where 72 points equal one inch.
  • The checker reports page boxes used by the library and does not infer paper names such as A4.
  • Rotated pages can have orientation metadata that affects how viewers display them.

What unit is used?

Dimensions are displayed in PDF points; divide by 72 for inches.

Can a PDF contain different page sizes?

Yes. The tool reports every page separately so mixed dimensions are visible.

Does it identify A4 or Letter?

The current output shows exact point dimensions and orientation rather than naming paper formats.

Will it change the PDF?

No. It only reads page dimensions.

Can I check crop-box dimensions?

The current implementation reports the page dimensions exposed by the PDF page object.
