How to use Flatten PDF Forms

The tool uses the PDF form API to flatten fields, which draws their current appearances into the pages and removes normal interactive field behavior.

The result is flattened.pdf. Review it carefully to confirm that every field value appears as expected.

Flattening is difficult to reverse; keep the editable original.
Unsupported form technologies such as some XFA documents may not flatten correctly.
Signatures, calculations, buttons and scripts can behave differently after flattening.

What does flattening a PDF form mean?
