What the tool creates
The page counter opens the PDF structure with the browser library and reports the number of pages without rendering every page as an image.
The result appears on the page and shows the total page count with the selected file name; no new document is created.
Common uses
- Checking submission limits
- Estimating printing volume
- Confirming that a scan contains every page
Important limits
- Encrypted or damaged PDFs may not open.
- The count includes all pages in the PDF structure, including blank pages.
- The tool does not identify duplicate or visually empty pages.

Does counting upload the PDF?
No intentional upload is required; the PDF is read in the browser.
Are blank pages included?
Yes. Every page object in the document is counted.
Can it count several PDFs at once?
The current version checks one PDF at a time.
Does it download a report?
No. The count is displayed on the page.
Why might a protected PDF fail?
The library may not be able to read encrypted document structure without access.
